Being A Woman Priest Is A Taboo-Breaking Thing, Says Ritabhari Chakrabroty
Ritabhari Chakraborty is basking in the success of her recently released film Brahma Janen Gopon Kommoti. Directed by Aritra Mukherjee, the film also stars Soham Majumdar who was last seen in Bollywood film Kabir Singh. Brahma Janen Gopon Kommoti is a film which out rightly questions many taboos in our society.

Talking about many such rituals, Ritabhari Chakraborty said, “I am essaying the role of woman priest is a taboo-breaking thing. It is not accepted in our society. Shabari my character is capable of doing all things. She knows mantras more than any male priests and even knows the meaning.”

The trailer of the film has released and has been praised from all corners. The trailer opens showing Ritabhari and Sohan meeting for marriage. They got married but Ritabhari profession is not much liked by her in-laws. Ritabhari carries priest profession which is not accepted by our society. Even her husband does not support her. How will Ritabhari fight with taboos is the film all about.
